Sirloin with Sweet Caramelized Onions
Yield: Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
Nonstick cooking spray

1
medium onion, very thinly sliced

1
boneless beef top sirloin steak (about 1 pound)

1/4
cup water

2
tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1
tablespoon sugar



Preparation:
1.
Lightly coat 12-inch skillet with cooking spray; heat over high heat until hot. Add onion; cook and stir 4 minutes or until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside. Wipe out skillet with paper towel.

Coat same skillet with cooking spray; heat until hot. Add beef; cook 10 to 13 minutes for medium-rare to medium, turning once. Remove from heat and transfer to cutting board; let stand 3 minutes before slicing.

Meanwhile, return skillet to high heat until hot; add onion, water, Worcestershire sauce and sugar. Cook 30 to 45 seconds or until most liquid has evaporated.

4.
Thinly slice beef on the diagonal and serve with onions.
